A back walking massage involves the therapist using poles that are attached to the ceiling to provide balance, and with the help of gravity, they are able to control the amount of weight and pressure being applied. Back walking/Ashiatsu offers a steady and controlled massage that may be slightly deeper than a deep tissue massage, but is still as gentle as it is deep, gliding pressure is spread through the feet.
